Centralizes and manages assigned business and administrative affairs of the Association according to annual contract. Serves and supports the needs of the Board and Committee Chairs, including the compilation and maintenance of all official, administrative and historical documents and records. Publishes E-CAST, the Association’s monthly online newsletter and annual membership directory.

Williams - AppleOne 805.569.9024 Fax: 805.569.8763 Email Shaye Williams The Annual Seminar Committee is responsible for the all-day SBHRA Business Conference: developing a theme, selecting the presenters and speakers, organizing the vendor show, creating a brochure and advertising to promote the seminar. Additional duties include reserving the location, correspondence with the speakers, organizing handouts and trophies, and evaluation of the event. 
Benefits and Compensation Survey: Kristina L. Kiefer, PHR - Cottage Health System, HR Department 805.681-6444 Fax: 805.569.8941 Email Kristina Kiefer The Benefits and Compensation Survey Committee is responsible for producing a comprehensive benefits and compensation survey of our members' companies every year. The survey not only provides useful information about local company benefits and compensation, but also about trends since the last survey. The survey information is compiled, analyzed and distributed or sold through the SBHRA. Participating members receive their first copy at no charge if the survey-input data is received by the required date. For cost information for non-participating members or non-members, please call the current Committee Chair.

The Chair arranges and oversees the study groups formed to prepare members for taking the SHRM Certification Examination (PHR and SPHR) twice each year. 
Labor and Employment Guideline: Douglas B. Firm’s attorneys provide general legal advice to the Association Board on organizational matters and participate in the Association’s employment law educational efforts through seminars and other appropriate programs. Law firm members may serve on other committees on the same basis as other Association members.

This Committee works to see that the meetings start in a timely manner by assuring that all arrangements are carried out. This Committee also plans, organizes and executes the annual Holiday party in December.

The Committee oversees a group of ambassadors for the purpose of helping new members feel welcome and become assimilated. This Committee publishes the Annual Directory.

Please see the Association Bylaws for qualifications of BOD members. The Committee seeks candidates to fit the Chair or Officer profiles for the positions that will be vacant in the comming year. The Committee works closely with the President elect during the selection process. 
Professional Development : Margot L. The half-day format allows time for detailed coverage of topics and discussions among participants. Typically one meeting per year is a legal update. This Committee works within the framework of the overall education and professional development plan developed under the leadership of the Education Chair and coordinates with the Association's other education committees. 
SHRM/SHRM Foundation Liason: Debbie L. Links SBHRA with SHRM, our National Society and their professional resources. 
Workforce Readiness: Susie M. Couture, PHR - Clipper Windpower Inc. 805-576-1086 Fax: 805.456-0139 Email Susie Couture This Committee oversees the Student Chapter, the scholarship awards, intern programs at local colleges and universities, mentorship programs, and guides the Student Board Intern each year. Student membership dues are $20 per year, and $10 for attendance at the monthly general meeting. Scholarship recipients enjoy complimentary membership and monthly meetings during the calendar year in which they receive the scholarship.
