| SBHRA Membership
Membership dues are only $60.00 now through the end of 2010 (December 31, 2010) for Regular Members and Affiliate Members. Student dues -please call our office.
Membership Applications must be submitted to the Membership Committee along with a current resume. The Membership Committee meets once a month to review new applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors. New members are notified of their membership status within one week following the Board Meetings.
PLEASE NOTE: The Membership Committee will only consider applicants that have submitted the following:
1. Complete Application
2. Resume
3. Payment

- Bi-annual benefits survey
- Half-day seminars, held every quarter providing in-depth information on topics of interest including roundtable discussions among participants

- Directory listing of all active members as well as member specialization's
- Opportunity to serve on committees to increase knowledge and share experiences
- Annual Business Conference covering timely HR topics with informative speakers
- Community Outreach - the SBHRA offers scholarships to local qualified students interested in pursuing a career in HR
- Peer-to-Peer - provides an array of hand-outs on HR subjects at monthly meeting development table; provides members with learning forums on basic HR subjects

 Monthly Meetings
Most SBHRA monthly meetings will be held at the Fess Parkers DoubleTree Inn, Reagan Room, 633 East Cabrillo Boulevard in Santa Barbara. The meeting time is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Check monthly program information to confirm the location of the meeting.
Membership Involvement Opportunities
The Board of the Santa Barbara Human Resources Association welcomes our members, especially our Affiliate/Vendor members, to share their expertise and resources in sponsoring programs and other activities for the benefit of the membership. While the SBHRA reserves the right to accept or reject any member activity or program proposal, the Board would be happy to consider any ideas you may wish to present. Examples include (but are not limited to):
- Sponsoring world-class speakers
- Conducting expanded specialized learning opportunities
- Sponsoring "Best Practices" awards presentations
- Sponsoring the Website
- Providing legal information through the "Guideline"
- Providing legal expertise as association Legal Counsel
- Providing scholarships
- Sponsoring network opportunities
